Reading - "Going Ballistic!" | Reading Activity | NEWSFLASH!

NEWSFLASH:

Write a human interest item for the TV news on the life of a pinball.
What I found hard: Keeping the story interesting as well the interview questions.
What I found easy: Finding information about the Pinball Machine.
What I could do next time: Add images of the interview, so all ages could be interested.

NEWSFLASH:

News person:
“Welcome back to NEWSFLASH! Today we’ll be interviewing another few common items that can be seen around the house as well as the people that use them! For today’s subject we’ll be interviewing a first-time experienced Pinball, the player that shot out the Pinball and some of the the other Pinballs inside the Pinball machine! News Reporter 1 is at the scene! Onto you!”

News reporter 1:
“Thank you. I am here with the Pinball player who shot out the first-time experienced Pinball! Can you tell us anything about the Pinball Machine game and your thoughts and feelings Sir?”

Pinball Player:
“Well first of all, the Pinball Machine game is, indeed a really fun intense game. You needa’ have quick reflexes to be able to work the game, since the game can  be a rather fast-paced game. Losing the game is saying ‘Goodbye’ to those $2 ‘s you sacrificed but when you win, it’s the greatest thing ever: Without sacrifice, there is no victory.”

News Reporter 1:
“Thank you, can you now tell us about your thoughts and feelings would you please Sir?

Pinball Player:
“Well there’s a lot of energy for the game but I normally feel tense-free since I’m quite an expert and pro at this game.”

News Reporter 1:
“Thank you very much sir, and that was the Interview with the Pinball Player. Back to you.”

News Person:
“Thank you News Reporter 1. For our next interview we’ll be interviewing the Well-experienced Pinball, interviewed by News Reporter 2. Now to you, News Reporter 2.”

News Reporter 2:
“Thank you for the intro. I am here with the most experienced and not aged at all Pinball in the entire Pinball Machine, they call him ‘Pin’ for short and he is definitely noticed for his ‘battle scars’. Could you tell us about your first time?”

Most Experienced Pinball:
“My first time?...Well that was quite a long time ago, I was actually one of the first Pinball’s to enter the very first Pinball Machine which was back in...1970s, that was when the games were unbanned. Back then, the Machines weren’t as complex and intense but there’s not much old Machines nowadays...Not that I know of. My first time was quite bland but it was still really exciting for myself, it was better then waiting in a box with a bunch of other Pinballs.
Best day of my life, we’re Pinballs..We don’t feel pain, cause we’re made out of steel.”

News Reporter 2:
“Thank you, that’s a lot of helpful and useful information. What was your reaction for that First-time experienced Pinball. That Pinball machine has about 5 balls in total.”

Most Experienced Pinball:
“Well it’s quite rare nowadays for someone to waste $10 in a Pinball machine since you guys have you ‘technolgy’: Computers, phones and such. Children would rather socialize to a screen then actually open their mouth. Calls aren’t the same, the real presence is when you’re actually there. My reaction was quite proud, the Pinball didn’t complain, whine, cry or do anything. There was just a big relief, but being back of the line is quite boring.”

News Reporter 2:
“Thank you for having this chat with us, we appreciate it.”
Most Experienced Pinball:
“My pleasure.”

News Person:
“Thank you News Reporter 2. For our last interview, we’ll be interviewing the First-time experienced Pinball himself. News Reporter 3, your on the sense. Lol a rhyme.

News Reporter 3:
“I am here with the First-time experienced Pinball. You are the latest member of the queue in the Pinball machine, can you tell us anything about your first experience since it wasn’t that long ago.”

First-time Pinball:
“Well for starters, it was definitely a grand experience. You humans couldn’t experience it without breaking a limb or somethin’. There was a lot of energy and intensity since you aren’t really the one that is controlling, it’s the player.”

News Reporter 3:
“Okay, thank you. Do you have any information you’d like to share for any Pinball’s out there?”

First-time Pinball:
“Ah yes. Don’t be afraid, you’ll also see your mates again at the end of the game.”

News Person:
“Alright that is our Interview around the simple Pinball machine. Thank you everyone, until (never) next time! Goodbye!--”
